Terms of Service

Effective Date: September 29, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the services, website, communications, estimates, scheduling systems, and related services provided by Black Ridge Electric LLC (“Black Ridge Electric,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

By requesting service, accepting an estimate or proposal, scheduling work, communicating with us electronically, or otherwise using our services, you acknowledge these Terms.

Our Services

Black Ridge Electric LLC provides electrical contracting services, including residential, commercial, and other electrical installation, repair, troubleshooting, maintenance, inspection, upgrade, backup-power, EV-charging, lighting, and related electrical services.

Specific work to be performed will be described in the applicable estimate, proposal, work order, contract, or invoice.

Estimates and Proposals

Estimates and proposals are based on the conditions reasonably known or visible at the time they are prepared.

Electrical systems may contain concealed conditions, code deficiencies, damaged components, inaccessible wiring, utility-related issues, structural obstacles, or other conditions that cannot reasonably be identified before work begins.

Work that is outside the original scope may require a change order, revised estimate, or additional authorization.

Pricing, material availability, equipment availability, permitting requirements, and scheduling may change before a project is formally accepted.

Deposits and Scheduling

Certain projects may require a deposit before materials are ordered, permits or utility applications are initiated, or installation dates are reserved.

When a deposit requirement is stated in an estimate or proposal, the project will generally not be considered scheduled until the required deposit has been received.

Project dates may depend on material availability, permitting authorities, utility companies, inspections, weather, site accessibility, subcontractors, manufacturers, and other circumstances outside Black Ridge Electric’s direct control.

Permits, Utilities, and Inspections

Electrical work may require permits, inspections, utility approvals, engineering, equipment reviews, or other third-party approvals.

Black Ridge Electric may assist with or coordinate these items when they are included in the project scope. Approval timelines are controlled by the applicable authority, utility, manufacturer, or other third party and are not guaranteed by Black Ridge Electric.

Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for providing reasonable access to the work area and for identifying known hazards, concealed systems, property restrictions, or other conditions that may affect the work.

Unless included in the agreed scope, customers may also be responsible for arranging access to locked areas, moving personal property, obtaining property-owner or association approvals, and coordinating services performed by other trades.

Existing Conditions

Black Ridge Electric is not responsible for defects, failures, code violations, deterioration, improper prior workmanship, or concealed conditions that existed before our work began unless correction of those conditions is expressly included in the agreed scope.

If an unsafe or noncompliant condition is discovered, we may recommend or require corrective work before proceeding with portions of the project affected by that condition.

Changes to the Scope of Work

Changes requested by the customer or required because of unforeseen conditions may result in additional labor, materials, permit fees, equipment costs, or scheduling changes.

Additional work may require written, electronic, or other documented customer authorization before proceeding.

Payment

Payment terms applicable to a project will be shown on the estimate, proposal, invoice, contract, or other project documentation.

Customers agree to pay authorized charges for completed work, approved materials, approved change orders, and other agreed project costs in accordance with those payment terms.

Warranties

Any workmanship or equipment warranty applicable to a particular project will be stated in the applicable proposal, invoice, warranty documentation, or other project materials.

Manufacturer warranties are governed by the manufacturer’s own terms and conditions.

Warranties do not cover damage or failure caused by misuse, abuse, alterations by others, utility problems, power-quality events, lightning, environmental conditions, lack of required maintenance, equipment failure outside our workmanship, or circumstances otherwise excluded by the applicable warranty.

Third-Party Products and Services

Black Ridge Electric may use products, software, manufacturers, payment processors, utilities, subcontractors, suppliers, permitting authorities, and other third-party services when operating our business or completing a project.

Those third parties may have separate terms, warranties, and privacy practices.
